Several studies that have wide application have been formally written and presented at conferences or in specific teaching seminars. These include;
"Cost Optimized Pumping in the Phosphate Industry" was written as a formal White Paper for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers AiChe and published in their conference proceedings. A shortened version of this paper was given as a Power Point presentation at the June 12, 2010 Clearwater Phosphate conference.
"Alternative Energy and Fuels" is a comprehensive review of more than 15 different boiler fuels comparing their cost. This formal paper was written for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers AiChe and published in their conference proceedings. A shortened version of this paper was given as a Power Point presentation at the June 10 - 11, 2010 Clearwater Phosphate conference. This Power point talk was also given at the October 12 &13, 2011 26th Annual Regional Phosphate Conference.
"Water Heater Calculations" is a step by step procedure to calculate the energy cost of heating water in your home or business with electricity, natural gas, and solar hot water panels. These can be used by anyone to perform a one time calculation or you can download a simple spreadsheet that will allow you to perform many "what if" calculations quickly.
